Music spans a huge range of topics. We have Books on all popular and classical music subjects to help you with everything from children's homework to music education and PhD research. We also have a wide-ranging selection of Artist and Composer biographies as well as Folk and World collections.

Looking for music topics to explore in more depth? We have a number of research collections to kindle your interest. They’re suitable for undergraduate or postgraduate work, or maybe following a personal passion. Read more about our research collections.

We have a wide range of music magazines for you to browse and read in the Music Library including back issues that you can request from staff.

Whether you wish to play on your own or within a small group, you can hire one of our 3 Music Practice rooms. Prices start at £3 and minimum booking is for 30 minutes.
