Copying
Warwickshire Photographic Survey images can be copied for private use unless the terms of the deposit express otherwise. Costs from the CD or microfiche are
- 20p per A4 B&W print
- 40p per A3 B&W print
- £3.50 per digital copy
Charges to copy from original images retrieved from the stores are subject to the searchroom daily permit charge of £3.50.
Speak with a member of the Archives and Collections team if you wish to use photographs for public use - broadcast, exhibition, online and publication (including eBooks).
Copyright
The Library of Birmingham does not hold the copyright for all the photographic collections we hold.
The copyright status of the WPS is particularly complex. While we hold the copyright for images taken as part of the original survey, we do not hold the copyright to all the images that are now within the collection. In many cases, an assessment of each individual photograph will be necessary to determine where copyright lies if it can be identified. You may wish to consider applying for an Orphan Works licence if the right copyright holder(s) cannot be found.
