War memorials in Birmingham
Birmingham City Council is responsible for maintaining a number of war memorials including the Hall of Memory, St Thomas' church and The Colonnade. They honour the staff and local people who died in the two world wars and other conflicts.
To commemorate the 100th Anniversary to the end of World War One, the Birmingham Hall of Memory is inviting Birmingham schools to submit drawings/paintings of the iconic city centre landmark. Read the details on our project webpage.
Search the list of war memorials in Birmingham to find details of a specific memorial - this list is part of the Imperial War Museum’s national War Memorials Register.
War graves in the city's cemeteries are maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
