Estimate your care contribution
By estimating your care contribution, you can find out what you will be likely to pay if we provide your care and support services.
We cannot confirm the exact amount you will pay until we complete a full financial assessment for your care and support. However, you can use the estimated cost to help you plan your finances.
If you estimate your care contribution and choose to share your information with us, your full financial assessment will be completed more quickly.
When you should estimate your care contribution
You can estimate your care contribution anytime in your social care journey. We recommend you do this when:
- you have started receiving a care service but have not had a financial assessment to work out how much you must pay
- a social care worker has assessed you, but you have not yet started to receive any of our care services
- you are thinking about asking for a social care assessment but want to know how much care services might cost
Residential care services
This includes care you might get while living in a nursing or residential care home as a permanent resident.

Non-residential services
This includes care you might get while living in your own home, including if you attend a day centre or receive direct payments.
You cannot currently estimate your non-residential care contribution as a couple.

What happens next
Based on the information you provide, we will tell you how much you are likely to pay towards the cost of any care services we provide.
We cannot confirm the exact amount you will pay until we complete a full financial assessment for your care and support.
You can save the information for yourself or send it to us by providing your contact details.
We will only complete a full financial assessment for you once you have started to receive our care services.
