Do you want your school to be included?
We are now inviting expressions of interest from any schools that would like to join the next phase of the Car Free School Streets programme in September 2024.
This part-time closure of streets to traffic is not appropriate for all schools. A selection process is used to assess the suitability of any schools interested in participating in this scheme and to prioritise those to be included.
Prior to submitting your expression of interest, read:
- how schools are selected to ensure your school would be a suitable location for the scheme
- memorandum of understanding

All schools in Birmingham are able to benefit through the existing Modeshift STARS scheme, which offers support and rewards to schools for taking steps to promote safer, greener and healthier travel.
