About the survey: Next steps

From 11 to 29 November 2024, we ran an all-staff colleague engagement survey where we asked you to share your views about working at the council. The survey was anonymous.

We achieved a council-wide response rate of 30%.

Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback through the survey and for helping us build a better future for the council.

Watch the Managing Director's webinar from 28 November 2024 to hear Joanne Roney (Managing Director) and Anju Dhir (Engagement and Communications Lead) talk about the survey and other engagement initiatives:

To switch on subtitles for the videos, move your cursor (pointer) to the bottom of the video screen, and click the subtitles/closed captions (CCs) icon when it appears. If the subtitles are switched off, click on the white arrow and then click on 'English (auto-generated)'. The subtitles should appear.

Action planning

During December 2024, City Observatory, our in-house data experts, will analyse the survey results. These results will be available in January/February 2025.

Using the data collected from the survey, each directorate will create an action plan to improve the way they work.

This action planning process will make sure that senior leaders, the staff networks, trade unions, and the wider workforce see relevant data. The data will help us understand:

  • how colleagues are feeling
  • our strengths
  • where we can improve

Get involved

The action planning will rely on colleagues, like you, volunteering your time to take part in action planning forums. The forums will:

  • look at the survey results in depth
  • look at ways for us to make improvements
  • use your ideas and feedback to make changes locally and across the council

You may also be offered an opportunity to attend a one-to-one interview with a member of our team to share your ideas for improving the way we work.

If you want to take part in the action planning, complete the action planning volunteering form.
