Notice of Community Governance Review

In accordance with Birmingham City Council policy for creating new parishes as set out in the Cabinet decision of 18 May 2021, the city council is undertaking a Community Governance Review to determine whether to establish a parish/neighbourhood council in the Balsall Heath area, following representation from the members of the local community.

The council is conducting the first stage of the Review process and is inviting residents and interested organisations to submit their views on the proposals, from 14 February 2022 to 24 April 2022.

The council has published its Terms of Reference for the Review which can be downloaded from our website or obtained by contacting the Neighbourhood Development Support Unit (NDSU) as shown below. Hard copies, or copies in other formats can be made available on request.

Further documentation/information will be available from 14 February - when the consultation begins - and, should you wish to submit a written representation (to give your views and feedback) regarding this review, you will be able to complete the online submission form via BeHeard from this date.
