PURE project overview
The PURE project is part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and is managed by Birmingham City Council. It is a £20m project designed to support the most vulnerable citizens of Birmingham who are furthest away from the labour market. The primary aim of the project is to provide intensive wrap around support to unemployed citizens who have complex needs such as; mental health, learning & physical disabilities, homelessness, women fleeing domestic abuse, ex-offenders and those with a visual or hearing impairment, with the intention of supporting them into employment, education or training opportunities.
- The participant will gain an intensive level of support including but not limited to: (One to one support/ action planning/ at work support) leading to positive outcomes including Employment Education and Training.
- Bespoke support tailored to the individuals needs and demands
- The project has also recently successfully launched the PURE Participant Costs support budget. This is a fantastic new opportunity to support citizens overcome those hurdles that have previously stopped them in their tracks. This consists of a small financial support budget which can be spent on items, such as travel costs, clothing, DBS checks, things that we previously could not help with.
