About the park

From dawn ‘til dusk, the contrasting halves of this striking dual park offer a host of features and attractions in a unique setting. Designed by the Council’s Landscape Practice Group, and opened between 2005 and 2006 on regenerated land, the facility aims to cater for a range of recreational requirements.

Moonlit Park is equipped with children’s playgrounds, a basketball court and a wildflower meadow. There is also a walking loop trail (approximately 1.4km) around the park, making it a great place to exercise too.

Meanwhile, adjoining Sunset Park features plenty of open space, wide accessible paths and is perfect for a stroll or to take the dog for a walk.
