Harrison and Harrison

Harrison harrison trade cards

Great Midland Pianoforte and Music Establishment, located on the corner of Colmore Row and Bennetts Hill in the building now occupied by the West Bromwich Building Society.

The document is an invoice for the hire of a 'Gd Pianoforte' (grand piano) made out to the Birmingham Shakespeare Reading Club. It is dated 18 May 1907.

Harrison's telephone number is only three digits despite the fact that by 1907, telephone lines had been available in Birmingham for over 25 years.

It is interesting to note that another business, Adams and Beresford which also traded in pianos was located nearby in Anne Street. A trade card for this business also appears in this gallery.
