The Ivy House/Gateway to India

The ivy house gateway to india photograph

The Ivy House photographed in 1907 by George Wood Junior of the Handsworth Photographic Society. Also photographed in 2012 the pub on the corner of Soho Road and Ivy Road has since been renamed the Gateway to India and is known locally as the GTI. The exterior appearance of the pub is almost identical over 100 years on. In 1907 the Ivy House sold ales from Butler's of Wolverhampton.
