The bulls head city tavern photograph

The Bull's Head, since renamed to the City Tavern, photographed c1950s and 2012.

The original photograph was taken by Birmingham City Council Public Works Department. The Bull's Head was designed by James and Lister Lea, in the classic terracotta style that became popular in the late Victorian era following its use within the construction of other local buildings such as the Bell Edison Telephone Building on Newhall Street and the Victoria Law Courts on Corporation Street.

The City Tavern is located on Bishopsgate Street, close to Five Ways and Broad Street.
