Sutton Park baths

Sutton park baths photograph

The Children's Baths at Keeper's Pool in Sutton Park. The pool was originally a fish pond that was created by the damming of a stream around the 15th century, and in fact still contains perch and roach.

The swimming area was added in 1887 and is photographed here in 1938. The changing facilities were destroyed in an arson attack in 2003 and the lido was subsequently removed and landscaped.
