The Dolphin on Irving Street, photographed by Birmingham City Council Public Works Department in 1954. Irving Street previously extended across Cregoe Street and joined Great Colmore Street.
The Dolphin is another casualty of the redevelopments of this area and Park Central. Election posters on the wall outside the pub name the Labour candidates as Goldberg and Johnson and polling day as Thursday 13 May.
