Rank protocol

Whilst we acknowledge it is generally accepted passengers should take the first cab on the rank – it is the customer's choice.

There is nothing in law which allows you to refuse a passenger purely because you are not the first on rank.

Some passengers who are wheelchair users have found they have been challenged for approaching a vehicle other than the first on rank – despite the passenger knowing their wheelchair cannot be accommodated in the style/model of cab at the front of the rank.

The customer is entitled to choose the vehicle they wish to complete their journey in. We would not expect drivers to become involved in arguments with each other OR their passengers about this.
