COVID-19 case at City Council meeting

Published: Wednesday, 15th September 2021

An attendee tested positive for COVID-19 following the City Council meeting on 14 September 2021.

In light of the significant mixing that took place, and after taking advice from Public Health, it has been determined all those who attended could meet the definition of a contact and therefore need to follow the standard guidance in such situations.

Attendees who have not been double vaccinated have been informed they need to isolate for 10 days.

Those who have been double vaccinated have been advised to book a PCR test via the NHS. They do not need to self-isolate whilst awaiting the result but the advice given is that from the NHS, which includes not gathering with vulnerable people.
