Birmingham scoops gold in Heart of England in Bloom awards
Birmingham has won a Gold in the Large City category and Cannon Hill Park picked up the Mike Garwood Memorial Award in this year’s Heart of England In Bloom competition.
Deputy Leader for Birmingham City Council, Cllr Ian Ward, said: “Since 2005 we have consistently achieved Gold Awards for our floral displays across the city. I’d like to extend my congratulations to all those involved in this latest success which is indicative of the partnership between our parks team and a network of enthusiastic community volunteers.
“I wish the team all the very best of luck at the national finals next month.”
