Tickets on sale ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup next summer
Tickets go on general sale today for next summer’s competition, where the best players from around the world will come to Birmingham.
The tournament is set to offer hundreds of thousands of fans the chance to see the world’s best cricketers in action at world-class venues up and down the country and is a huge opportunity to propel women’s cricket firmly into the mainstream.
Edgbaston will play host to four key fixtures between Friday 12 June and Wednesday 17 June, including the world cup’s opening match between England and Sri Lanka on Friday 12 June.
This showpiece match will be followed by a double bill of matches on Sunday 14 June between India and Pakistan and two qualifying countries set to be confirmed next year.
The final match will be between South Africa and Pakistan on Wednesday 17 June.
England and Wales will play host to the best cricketing talent with 33 matches over 24 days from the tournament opener on 12 June at Edgbaston, Birmingham, to the final at Lord’s on 5 July. With demand already high across all matches, fans are encouraged to secure tickets early for what promises to be a historic moment in women’s sport.
