With the colder weather and shorter days, it is important to plan your winter activity with an eye on the weather forecast, and to dress appropriately.

During the colder months, try:

  • walking or cycling to work or the shops – something as simple as walking to a farther bus stop or getting off a stop early can make a difference
  • exploring one of Birmingham’s 640 parks and green spaces – we have more than any other European city

If the weather is bad, you can:

  • do an online workout
  • tidy your home – physical activity includes all types of movement
