Check if your business is eligible for a BEAS grant

To be eligible for the BEAS programme, your business must be in the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area, which includes:

  • Birmingham
  • Solihull
  • Sandwell
  • Dudley
  • Walsall
  • Wolverhampton
  • Coventry
  • Stafford
  • Cannock Chase
  • Lichfield
  • South Staffordshire
  • East Staffordshire
  • Newcastle-under-Lyme
  • Staffordshire Moorlands
  • Stoke-on-Trent

Check if your business postcode is eligible

Your business must also:

  • be a micro or small to medium sized enterprise (SME), which means it has:
    • fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover of less than €50 million, or
    • a balance sheet total under €43 million
  • have used at least 25,000 kWh of energy (electricity and/or gas) in the last 12 months
  • be a commercial entity or profit-seeking enterprise, such as a:
    • partnership
    • limited company
    • community interest company (CIC)
  • operate from a registered commercial address not a residential property
  • be responsible for paying your business energy bills for at least 12 months
  • be officially registered and active for at least 12 months, with financial records demonstrating operational activity

Sole traders are not eligible for a grant.
