Check if your business is eligible for a BEAS grant

To be eligible for the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) programme, your business must be in the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area, which includes:

  • Birmingham
  • Coventry
  • Dudley
  • Sandwell
  • Solihull
  • Walsall
  • Wolverhampton

Check if your business postcode is eligible.

Your business must also:

  • be a micro or small to medium-sized enterprise (SME), which means it has:
    • less than 250 employees and an annual turnover of less than €50 million, or
    • a balance sheet total under €43 million
  • have a minimum energy consumption threshold of 25,000 kWh per year and have annual energy costs (gas and electricity) of more than 6% of turnover
  • be a commercial entity or profit-seeking enterprise, such as a:
    • partnership
    • limited company
    • community interest company (CIC)
  • operate from a registered commercial address, not a residential property
  • be responsible for paying your business energy bills for at least 12 months
  • be officially registered and active for at least 12 months, with financial records demonstrating operational activity

Sole traders are not eligible for a grant.
