Check if your business is eligible for a BEAS grant
To be eligible for the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) programme, your business must be in the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area, which includes:
- Birmingham
- Coventry
- Dudley
- Sandwell
- Solihull
- Walsall
- Wolverhampton
Check if your business postcode is eligible.
Your business must also:
- be a micro or small to medium-sized enterprise (SME), which means it has:
- less than 250 employees and an annual turnover of less than €50 million, or
- a balance sheet total under €43 million
- have a minimum energy consumption threshold of 25,000 kWh per year and have annual energy costs (gas and electricity) of more than 6% of turnover
- be a commercial entity or profit-seeking enterprise, such as a:
- partnership
- limited company
- community interest company (CIC)
- operate from a registered commercial address, not a residential property
- be responsible for paying your business energy bills for at least 12 months
- be officially registered and active for at least 12 months, with financial records demonstrating operational activity
Sole traders are not eligible for a grant.
