Meet the African DEP

Ilera Health was established in 2024, and is a healthcare service provider offering:

• market research
• community engagement
• training and consulting

They are Black British and are keen to contribute to reducing health inequalities among African communities in Birmingham through the DEP.

Ilera Health will be working primarily with the Ghanian, Nigerian and Eritrean communities within Birmingham.

Ilera Health plan to deliver their first health inequality project as a 3-part series of video cultural competence in Mental Health awareness sessions.

These sessions will be co-produced with members of the communities. They are aimed at mental health workers for Ghanian, Nigerian and Eritrean communities.
