Birmingham Inclusion Health Grants programme

Birmingham City Council Public Health has invited local charities and community organisations to apply for the Inclusion Health Grants programme.

About the grants

We offered grants of up to £20,000, from a total fund of £100,000, to support community-led, trauma-informed interventions that improve health outcomes for some of Birmingham’s most underserved communities:

  • sex workers
  • veterans
  • women from inclusion health groups
  • men from inclusion health groups

These population groups fall under a national NHS England definition of ‘inclusion health, an umbrella term used to describe people who are socially excluded, who typically experience multiple overlapping risk factors leading to poor health, such as:

  • stigma
  • discrimination
  • poverty
  • violence
  • complex trauma

The application deadline was Friday 13 February 2026.

The expected project start date was April 2026 (duration 12 to 18 months).
