Healing Arts Birmingham hyperlocal arts and culture organisation grants 2026
Healing Arts Birmingham (HABrum) takes place from 22 to 26 June 2026. It is a week-long, city-wide event showing how arts, culture and heritage can improve health, wellbeing and social equity.
The programme brings together community activity and professional practice from across Birmingham and the West Midlands. It showcases Birmingham's creative sector while demonstrating the evidence and methods behind creative health.
HABrum is led by Birmingham City Council Creative Public Health and Jameel Arts and Health Lab, working with the World Health Organisation and arts and community organsiations across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Activities during the week
The week will include a wide range of activities for different audiences, including:
- community-focused performances, exhibitions and celebrations
- research symposiums and conferences
- poicy forums and workshops focused on creative health practice
Funding opportunity
The Creative Health Team is inviting arts, culture and heritage organisations to take part in Healing Arts Birmingham Week by delivering creative health activity for local communities across Birmingham.
You can apply to:
- develop a new activity for the week
- open up an existing session or piece of work to the public
The grant programme aims to support activity across many of Birmingham's neighbourhoods and communities. Funded projects should be accessible to residents, particularly people who experience poorer health outcomes or are les likely to access arts and cultural opportunities.
Grant amounts and how to apply
We are offering grants or £500 and £1,000 to community arts, culture and heriatge organisations.
To apply, complete the application form and return it by Thursday 7 May 2026.
