In this section you will find downloadable resources to help children and their families discover more about the Shakespeare Collection and the Library of Birmingham.
Arts Award
Arts Award is a nationally recognised arts qualification, managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England.
It aims to take children and young people aged 5 years to 25 years on a creative journey to:
- explore the arts world
- discover their potential as artists
- develop leadership skills
As part of the Everything to Everybody project's legacy, the project team have worked with staff from the Library of Birmingham Children’s Library and Archives team to develop “Discover in a Day”. The project also funded training so that the days can take place regularly after the project has ended.
The Discover Arts Award is the introductory award, and provides a great introduction to the arts and to other Arts Award levels, as well as the chance to discover the Library of Birmingham and its treasures in a new and exciting way.
