Reducing your energy usage in the home is one of the best ways you can lower your carbon footprint and save money on bills. Here are some useful resources with information on actions you can take and grants you may be eligible for to help you use less energy.

Simple Energy Advice - the government's simple energy advice site provides clear information on what steps you can take to reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint.

Green Homes Grant - the Green Homes Grant, also known as the Local Authority Delivery Scheme (LADs), is a government funded scheme to pay for measures which can reduce and prevent heat and energy loss in the home and reduce fuel bills. The grant is available to tenants and homeowners who live in a property with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating D, E, F, or G and an annual household income (before tax) of less than £30,000.

Act on Energy - a charity which provides free and impartial advice to householders and small businesses. They can also provide valuable advice and support with applications for energy efficiency grants such as the Green Homes Grant.

Local Energy Advice Partnership (LEAP) - provide help and advice with energy switching, free energy saving measures, money advice, and check if you’re eligible for insulation, a new appliance, or even a new boiler.
