The Great British Spring Clean
The Great British Spring Clean (GBSC) will return for 2023 from 17 March to 2 April 2023.
To help support volunteers in Birmingham to help keep streets clean, we are taking part in Keep Britain Tidy's (KBT) annual national clean-up campaign for 2023.
Our offer to volunteers and groups includes:
- free litter picking equipment
- collection of your litter pick
If you are holding a litter pick event and would like additional support from our love your street team, email the details of your request to cleanergreenerstreets@birmingham.gov.uk.
If you want to pledge to complete a GBSC litter pick, you must:
- pledge your clean-up with Keep Britain Tidy (KBT) from 23 February 2022
- if this is your first litter picking session, register yourself or your group as a community litter picker
- request free litter picking equipment from us
- follow our advice for litter picking sessions and the advice on the KBT website
- if you are holding a litter picking session on private land, you must get the landowner's permission
- tell us you have completed a litter picking session and mention that it is a GBSC litter pick so that we can collect your litter pick
