GRAIN photography
GRAIN is the strategic hub and network for photography and photographers in the West Midlands.
They create, facilitate and deliver ambitious, engaging and high quality photography projects, commissions and exhibitions. They work with and develop photographers of local, national and international significance and collaborate with major partners here and overseas, reaching new audiences and building the infrastructure and profile for photography.
They are unique being based at the Library of Birmingham and in their connection with the national and international Designated photography collections. They are committed to developing new and high quality opportunities for photography in the region.
GRAIN began its story in 2012 at the Library of Birmingham. In 2015 it became an independent arts organisation with the support of its partners.
