Big wheel and ice rink

Christmas 2025 will see the return of 2 festive favourites to Centenary Square: the outdoor ice rink and the big wheel.

Both attractions will be open from 1 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, except on Christmas Day.

The Big Wheel

Enjoy fantastic views of Birmingham from the big wheel.

Take in some of the city’s most impressive sights, including the Library of Birmingham, Council House, Town Hall, Cube, Brindley Place and Britain’s biggest Frankfurt Christmas market.

Ice rink

Experience the magic of outdoor ice skating in the heart of Birmingham, right next to the big wheel.

Skate on 600 square metres of real ice and feel like you’re in a scene from a Hollywood film.

The rink has a roof, so the unpredictable weather will not stop you from skating.

There isn’t a better way to celebrate Christmas.
