Museums
Birmingham Museums are bringing festive cheer to venues across the city, with events for all ages.
At Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery:
- Breakfast with Santa - enjoy a festive morning meal with Santa in the Tearoom, from 29 November to 23 December
- Festive performances - live music every Sunday in December in the Industrial Gallery
- Art Club: Festive New Year Crafts - cosy creative sessions on 31 December
At Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum:
- Storytime with Santa - step into Santa’s Grotto on weekends and during the Christmas holidays
- Christmas cinema - enjoy festive favourites like The Muppet Christmas Carol, Gremlins, Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life in the 360 dome
- Lights, Science, Action! - a family show exploring the science of light, running 29 to 31 December and 2 January
At Aston Hall:
- Aston by Candlelight - a guided tour through Christmases past in a candlelit Grade I listed mansion, from 12 to 14 December
Highbury Hall
Step into a festive wonderland at Highbury Hall’s Christmas Craft Fair.
This charming event takes place in a Grade II listed mansion and features handmade gifts, seasonal treats and local crafts.
It’s a great chance to pick up unique presents and enjoy the historic surroundings.

The Polar Express
The Polar Express train ride is returning to Vintage Trains, with the magic of “The Polar Express” theatrically re-created so everyone can be immersed in the sights, sounds and intrigue of this classic children’s tale.
The trains will be running on selected dates from 22 November to 23 December 2024.
