City centre roadworks restrictions
We have imposed restrictions in the city centre. This is due to the increase in vehicular and pedestrian movements, and the adverse effect highway restrictions will have on trading during the Christmas period.
The start date and end date of restrictions vary from year to year.
Restrictions will be in place from 1 November 2025 until 5 January 2026.
The plan identifies the roads which will be restricted.

There will also be restrictions within the city centre from 15 October 2025, due to the Frankfurt Christmas market build.
