City centre roadworks restrictions
We have imposed restrictions in the city centre. This is due to the increase in vehicular and pedestrian movements, and the adverse effect highway restrictions will have on trading during the Christmas period.
Restrictions will be in place from 1 November 2024 until 6 January 2025. The start date and end date of restrictions will vary from year to year.
The plan shown below identifies the roads which are restricted.
| Footway and carriageway restriction | No planned works during the exclusion period. All other works, with the exception of emergencies will be subject to consultation with, and approval from, Birmingham City Council. |
