Ever wondered what other businesses used their BGP grant funding for?
The case studies below illustrate the types of projects which were funded by BGP and which could easily be funded by BGP2. The good news is that BGP2 has been simplified and there are no longer 4 strands of support, just the 1, making it far more flexible:
HS2 Supply Chain Programme case studies:
VR Simulations used a HS2SCP grant to develop a lightweight portable version of a PTI simulator, targeted at the rail sector.
Reliance Medical Ltd accessed a BGP HS2 grant to relocate to state of the art premises in Kidsgrove, Staffordshire to facilitate their current demand and prepare to supply the HS2 supply chain with first aid and medical needs for the construction and operational phases.
Cameron Price have used the HS2 grant to purchase new machinery and to successfully diversify in to the rail sector.
Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme case studies:
Hollywood Monster used the Green Bridge funding to purchase state-of-the-art printers.
Allied Socket & Screws used the Green Bridge funding to purchase new CNC machinery.
Business Innovation Programme case studies:
ELLUC used a Business Innovation Programme grant to support their growth plans, which included capital equipment.
RH Nuttall used the Business Innovation Programme grant to buy a new power head press to make them more competitive.
Business Development Programme case studies:
Cox Exhibitions had a Business Development Programme grant to help them expand premises in Hockley Heath and take on more staff.
Touch Systems, an IT company, used their Business Development Programme grant to expand their offices and take on new staff.
Cava Security Services Ltd were operating the business out of two different sites which was inefficient, so with support from the Business Development Programme they migrated their services into one larger premises and increased their staff levels.
