Birmingham City Council submitted its CIL Draft Charging Schedule to the Planning Inspectorate on Wednesday 4 February 2015 for public examination in accordance with Section 212 of the Planning Act 2008 (as amended) and Regulation 19 of the Community Infrastructure Regulations 2010 (as amended).
The CIL Hearing was held at our offices on Thursday 30 April 2015, and was chaired by Mr Philip Staddon BSc DIP MBA MRTPI.
The Examiner’s Report concludes that our Community Infrastructure Levy Charging Schedule provides an appropriate basis for the collection of the levy in the area.
Following the Examination and approval at Full Council in September 2015, we commenced charging out CIL on Monday 4 January 2016.
