Create it, shape it, embrace it
My Tomorrow is a youth-led campaign that highlights the often unseen opportunities and challenges in young people’s lives. It starts conversations between young people and communities to build understanding that leads to collaborative, positive action for a future where every young person can thrive.
The campaign has been designed by young people. It will continue to be shaped by them as more people and organisations join the movement.
The key aims are to:
- empower young people to influence policies affecting their lives, ensuring their voices are heard and respected
- support professionals in creating and managing opportunities for youth engagement
- encourage communities to rethink perceptions and support opportunities for positive change
We have partnered with West Midlands Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP), Birmingham Community Safety Partnership and Birmingham Children’s Trust to embrace the contribution children and young people can offer in shaping our approach to reducing violence.
VRP’s work supports:
- communities and professionals to work together
- interventions to prevent violence
- the use of evidence to inform decisions
- leaders to connect around a shared long-term ambition
- production of guidance, advice and toolkits
