Occupational Therapy Service for Adults

Occupational Therapy can support adults with disabilities to carry out essential activities.

Make an occupational therapy referral

You can also contact the Occupational Therapy Team to make a referral on 0121 303 1234 option 1 or by email at csadultsocialcare@birmingham.gov.uk.

Depending on your situation, an occupational therapy assessment may include how you:

  • get in and out of bed or chair
  • on and off the toilet
  • dressing yourself
  • feeding yourself
  • manage the stairs
  • your ability to prepare drinks, snacks and or meals

The assessment may also cover:

  • your eligibility for adaptations to your home, and
  • provide advice and information about other services
