Equipment to help with everyday tasks

Do you need equipment to help you with everyday tasks?

Birmingham Adult Social Care has an equipment loan service called Birmingham Community Equipment Loans Service  (BCELS).

The equipment loan service aims to:

  • help you to complete everyday tasks
  • give you the confidence to remain in your own home
  • help you be empowered to live independently for longer.

How does the service work?

The service works in partnership with occupational therapists and health staff.

The service aims to:

  • make sure the correct equipment is suggested to meet your needs
  • help you find ways of managing tasks
  • provide advice and potential solutions.

How to loan equipment from BCELS?

To access equipment from BCELS you will need an Occupational Therapy assessment.
