An exhibition showcasing artwork and craft made from reclaimed materials.

Trash to Treasure is an exhibition showcasing artwork and craft made using reclaimed and waste materials.

The work was created through monthly creative sessions delivered by the Hive Heritage and Arts Team, working with local makers and artists. The sessions helped people try out different materials, learn new making skills and explore sustainable ways of working.

You can expect to see:

  • art and craft made from reclaimed materials
  • a range of techniques developed through supported workshops
  • work shaped by the voices and choices of the participants

The exhibition is co-curated by the people who took part and reflects their ideas, skills and experiences.

Trash to Treasure is part of an ongoing programme at the Hive that focuses on creative reuse and sustainable approaches to making. The project is funded by the Ladywood Neighbourhood Network Scheme.
