Verve open mic poetry night
Share your poems or spoken word in a friendly open mic at the Hive.
This open mic is open to anyone who wants to read their poems, try spoken word or listen to voices from across Birmingham.
You get up to 5 minutes on the mic. There are 20 slots on the night, and if more people want to perform, names are drawn from a hat.
You will:
- have time to share your work
- hear a mix of voices from across the city
- be part of a relaxed and welcoming space
- find no headline act so more time for open mic
It is free to attend and runs on a pay as you feel basis, with funds going to the venue.
Everyone is welcome, whatever your level of experience.
