Mysounds with CoMA West Midlands

A lively workshop run by Contemporary Music for All (CoMA) where you will explore fresh music with other musicians.

This full-day workshop will invite instrumentalists to play brand new music written by young composers for the CoMA Festival 2026.

The workshop will be

  • led by conductor Sara Caneva and composer James McIlwrath
  • open to players of any instrument

You will be able to:

  • try out new ideas
  • explore different ways of making music
  • play new pieces written for the festival

Young musicians aged 16 to 21 will be able to take part for free by registering as Mysounds performers.

The Mysounds programme will give players the chance to meet other young musicians from different backgrounds and build confidence through creative music making.
