Sunsets, food and friendship: young people’s photography exhibition
An exhibition of photography by students, shaped by their stories and experiences.
Visit "Sunsets, food and friendship", a photography exhibition by students from local schools and colleges. The photos explore how culture, heritage and identity shape who we are and where we feel we belong.
The students worked with photographers Mahtab Hussain, Ayesha Jones and Vic Moyosola.
Together, they learned how to:
- take portraits
- write journals
- use both digital and dark room photography
- curate the exhibition
This project is part of Researching Educational Partnerships, led by the University of Birmingham.
It brings together artists, teachers and researchers to explore how the arts can support learning and belonging in schools.
Opening times:
- Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Open later on Wednesdays - until 8:00pm
