Discover how magnets and tiny iron beads are helping scientists train the body to fight cancer better.

Cancer treatments are changing.

One exciting new method uses a person’s own immune cells to help treat it. Scientists can now take these cells and improve them in the lab using magnets and tiny iron beads. This helps the cells spot cancer more easily and act when needed.

In this free online talk, you’ll learn:

  • how this technique works
  • how it helps the immune system fight cancer
  • why it’s a big step forward in medical research

You do not need a science background to join. It’s a great chance to learn more about health and cancer research.

The talk will be given by Dr Abhinav Thareja, a researcher at the University of Birmingham and part of the NIHR Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre.

Book your free place on the Eventbrite website.
