Poetry’s Got Form - Poetry Workshop
This workshop is for novice or experienced poets, or poets with a good understanding of writing poetry who want to develop specific skills in writing form poetry.
Join Rick Sanders from Verve for a workshop looking specifically at form. You will get to learn the structure, read some examples and write a form poem of your own.
This month we will be doing the Catena Rondo. Rick will guide you through a process of exploring the form in all its glory and then you will have a chance to write a catena rondo yourself. This workshop is for novice or experienced poets, or poets with a good understanding of writing poetry who want to develop specific skills in writing form poetry. This is for adults (over 16 years) only; and for those who already have some experience of writing poetry.
The workshop is 2 hours long. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session as the Hive closes at 3:30pm and you may not be able to enter after that.
If you like poetry, you can return later in the day to attend the Verve Open Door, a free open mic poetry event that takes place at the Hive during the evening - you might even want to perform your poems!
