Through images, objects and videos, the Vegan Society's exhibition
- explores the history of veganism
- shares the movement as it is today
- looks forward to how vegan lifestyles might change in the future

- learn how the word 'vegan' was created and how early vegans ate during wartime rationing
- discover Birmingham’s early connections to the vegan movement
The exhibition is suitable for all ages. Children should have parental guidance.
Virtual Reality sessions
Explore what a vegan future could look like using Virtual Reality (VR) headsets.
These sessions take place on Saturdays, 2:00pm to 4:30pm.
Vegan Society representatives will be available to assist.
VR headset use is available to those aged 13 years and over.

The exhibition is in the gallery on the third floor of the library.
The exhibition will be accessible during library opening hours:
- Mondays and Tuesdays: 11:00am to 7:00pm
- Wednesdays to Saturdays: 11:00am to 5:00pm
