Public transport

On 21 October 2021 the council adopted the new Birmingham Local Transport Plan 2031.

The four principles in the plan include reallocating road space, prioritising active travel in local neighbourhoods, and managing demand through parking measures.

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), part of the West Midlands Combined Authority, is responsible for public transport across the city. TfWM website will provide the latest information on consultations for public transport improvements such as Sprint and improvements to railway stations.

Network West Midlands provides details of routes and timetables.
