- Three offences relating to conditions at Kitchen Garden Café, 17 York Road, Birmingham. Floors ,walls, shelves, worktops (underneath equipment), switches, taps, pipes, cables, the underside and rear of the oven and food containers were dirty. There were no adequate procedures in place to control pests in that mouse droppings were seen on the floor behind the dishwasher, under preparation tables, behind fridges, at floor wall junctions, next to and behind the cooking range, on the floor next to the exit to the vacant garden shop and in the kitchen. Food was not protected from contamination at all stages of production, processing and distribution, in that mouse droppings were seen on low level shelving where bowls and trays were stored and inside a container holding serving trays.
