- Found guilty in absence of 16 offences relating to conditions found at Bab-E-Khybar, 310 Highgate Road, Birmingham on four separate occasions. Live and dead cockroaches were found in the kitchen. The kitchen ceiling was leaking in several areas, and generally in poor repair and condition, and many items within the kitchen were dirty. Equipment was in poor condition, including a knife with a missing handle, worn chopping boards and taped up food equipment. here were no permanent procedures based on HACCP principles. The Company failed to comply with five Hygiene Improvement Notices in relation to pest control, implementation of a documented food safety management system, repairing the leak in the kitchen, food hygiene training for staff and ensuring they have up to date and accurate information available relating to the 14 prescribed allergens.
