- Three offences relating to conditions at New Tenichi Sushi, The Arcadian, 70 Hurst Street, Birmingham, B5 4DT. The premises was not kept clean and maintained in good repair and condition. There were mouse droppings throughout the kitchen, servery and wash areas including on low level shelving, pipework, the floor and behind the chest freezer. A number of areas in the kitchen and wash areas were dirty including floor/wall junctions, pipework, the cooker, drains, ceiling, floors and shelving. The premises was not pest proofed, there were uncovered vents in the ceiling tiles in the kitchen, open gaps in the boarding above the wash hand basin in the kitchen and a hole in the wall in the food area was allowing access to pests. Food was not protected against contamination, mouse droppings were found in the servery, adjacent to chopping boards in the kitchen, on a ledge above food preparation bowls in the food wash area and on a shelf in the kitchen adjacent to serving bowls.
