Offence details
Six offences relating to conditions at Rajput Clove, 11 Highfield Road, Birmingham B28 0EL. There was a rat infestation in the premises, an accumulation of rat droppings were found beneath the boiler in the dry store area of the kitchen where pots and pans used in the business were stored and there was gnawed food found below shelving storing cucumbers, peppers and ginger in the open food storage area. Pest proofing was poor and the structure of the premises was unsuitable allowing access for pests, there were holes and gaps in the floor wall junctions. Open food was contaminated with rat droppings and a chilli pepper was contaminated and heavily gnawed with bite marks. The Company failed to comply with a Hygiene Improvement Notice requiring they provide accurate information with regards to the 14 prescribed ingredients that could cause food allergies and intolerances in the food produced and sold at the premises and they failed to to make available a list of mandatory particulars.
