St Saviour’s is a two-form entry Church of England primary school serving the greater Saltley area which is an area of diverse faiths. We encourage the adoption of “British Values” and foster a spirit of peace and calmness within the school and beyond.
- The main responsibilities of a Governor

As part of a team:
• Setting the strategic direction of the school;
• Holding the leadership to account for the performance of the school;
• Making sure that resources are used well and that money is well spent. - Requirements
- There are no specific qualifications for the role of governor. You just need the right attitude, enthusiasm, and time to devote to the role.

- Day and times of most meetings

The full governing board usually meets once per term and meetings are usually held on a Tuesday at 2.00 PM. The Finance Committee meets before the full board meeting. These meetings take place once per term. Additionally, governors are linked to a particular area of the school in consultation with the head teacher and are expected to meet with the subject lead each term.
- The time commitment
- Approximately 10 days per year spent attending meetings, visiting the school from time-to-time and undertaking relevant training.
