Five offences relating to conditions found during an inspection at Malhi Supermarket 220 Bacchus Road, Birmingham. Cleaning was poor and there was severe pest activity at the premises in the form of rodent droppings. A large quantity of prepacked ready to eat food had been gnawed and consumed by rodents, and there was the risk that rodent droppings were within ready to eat foods on the shelving areas within the retail space. Rodent droppings were found on shelving throughout the premises. Unsafe food, which was unfit for human consumption, was being offered for sale at the premises.
